Community Involvement
To grow and prosper, communities require care. It is the work of many hands—sharing many talents, many hours, and many gifts. We enrich the entire community by enriching its members. Kevin Miller and the members of Northwestern Mutual Finanial Network—Pittsburgh share this commitment to the community in which they live and work, to make it a better place, to make a difference.

Bowl for Kids' Sake
The Pittsburgh Network Office is pleased to announce their annual participation in Big Brothers Big Sisters bowling fundraiser. Bowl for Kids' Sake (BFKS), the region's largest charity bowling event, is a fun-filled day of bowling, games, excitement, and an opportunity for everyone in the Pittsburgh community to make a difference in the lives of at-risk youth. Six-member bowling teams collect pledges and join other teams on the event day for prizes, giveaways, celebrity appearances, and a round of bowling in which fun counts more than the scores. For more than 42 years, Big Brother Big Sister has been the premier one-to-one mentoring organization in the region. The charity matches children from at-risk environments and single-parent homes with caring, adult volunteer mentors.
Sharing the Holiday Spirit
Throughout the holiday season, the Pittsburgh Network Office donated to the Make a Wish foundation. The employees' generous giving will support the wish of a local seven-year-old named Nathaniel. Nathaniel enjoys watching his favorite actor, Will Ferrell, and listening to tunes from his favorite band: Rascall Flatts. As a native of Pittsburgh, Nathaniel also likes rooting on his favorite hometeam: the Pittsburgh Steelers. Therefore, it is no surprise, that Nathaniel's wish is to meet the 5-time Superbowl-winning team. Thanks to part of the Pittsburgh Network Office's donation, Nathaniel will meet the Steelers during training practice at their South Side field and also tour the facility. In addition, at a fall game,
Nathaniel will enjoy club-level seats so that he and his family can enjoy a game from a perspective they will never forget.
